Can a strong narrative make up for a less traditional EB2 NIW profile

Im looking into the EB2 NIW route over the past few months and Im going back and forth on where I stand. My background is more on the applied side. Ive been working since 2020 in environmental engineering mostly focused on sustainability projects and some local impact work rather than big national recognition. I do have a masters degree and I can show that what Im doing has value especially in terms of community impact and long term benefits. But I dont have publications or major awards and thats where I start second guessing everything a lot of what I read makes it seem like the case really depends on how well you explain the importance of your work and how it fits into the national interest. For those whove gone through NIW did the way your case was framed make a big difference or was it more about checking specific boxes?
