Debut novel: Greedy Old Devil, out today!
Premise: Greed-devil banker leaves retirement to conquer the Infernal Empire when they push him too far.
Chrysos, a once-renowned greed-devil warrior, now jaded and forgotten, hides away in retirement from imperial service. Running a mostly honest bank, he strives to remain as far from the depraved and corrupt imperial court as he can manage while working on a secret project that could shake the foundations of the infernal realm.
When the court’s iron fist finally reaches out for him concealed in a velvet glove, he stands to lose more than his fortune if his scheme is discovered. Backed into a corner, he chooses defiance over destitution. To challenge the Ruby Throne is to court death, leaving no room for half measures.
Wielding a secret fortune, devil-girl allies that hijack his defiance into a full-scale rebellion, and an abundance of espionage and violence, he will show that even the emperor must bow down to the golden rule; That he who has the gold, makes the rules.
