Opinion about Roblox Safety Features

When I first joined Roblox in 2017, under 13 users could use /w with each other, and talk to everyone, and Roblox encourage you to imagine a game, to imagine a world, but today it filled with heavy protection for children under the age of 13, and blocks young adults from talking to users under the age of 16, and older adults under the age of 18. When I first joined Roblox it was more friendlier and easier to play a game and feel like you are welcomed in this community.

I also never met an adult that had malicious intentions. All my years of being on Roblox I never saw an adult maliciously lore a child and never even saw an adult in generally anyone. I was also confused, very confused about why Roblox would restrict children/minors who may never be groomed, nothing be maliciously contacted, or anything. All we wanted was some inspiration, and today Roblox wants to remove it, and I even hesitate to agree that children/minors deserve this child-to-adult isolation.

I joined Roblox in 2017, with my main account I used today made in 2018, and Roblox changed a lot since 2017/2018, all the freedoms of just using a parental pin, and basic features, turned into chaotic parental control features being forced, cannot play social hangout games if under 13, I disagree with the restriction of social hangout games. Persona didn't really help Roblox in any major way, it became what we call today as "a free way for adults to get into servers with children by faking their age to get into 16-17 or younger" and also by the way Roblox used to be anonymous, not a game where it tracks your age group in any sort of way.

Also, could some children/minors also be capable in some decision making at under 13 for basic things like whether to play social hangout games or play this game with more autonomy but still appropriate for your age. Even this game has sensitive topics/issues maybe I should opt-in or opt-out without a need of a parent. I never imagine future Roblox to be like this, for children/minors to be like this, or even potentially even adults who don't have intentions to lure children.

I hate to even call children the word "minors" although that is what we "legally" call them if they're under 18. I don't get why adult/child separation exists, could Roblox just add AI to end most grooming/luring attempts without blocking older and younger users. If children could have little bit more freedom than complete restrictions. I could think about old Roblox, I even internalize it now, as it is the last time we will likely see that era of Roblox.

In a world they everyone treats children as incapable of even playing hangout games alone. I don't see a huge reason also for the child safety lawsuits. Also again why lure children, that is a very bad idea. I don't recommend that, and children should know this quote "You can talk to adults online as long as you don't engage in romantic/sexualized behaviors. Don't go on Discord with older children, only talk to people you really trust to be alone with. If you don't want your parents to hear you talk to them, then don't talk to them." Please read this if you may be susceptible to being groomed by an older adult.
