CMV: Modern Anti Zionism is just pathetic when compared to its predecessors - TLDR added

Delta(s) from OP

TL:DR - In previous generations the Jew hatred had entire pseudo science of large complex ideologies, backed by big capable armies, whereas today the same Jew haters are scared of their own shadows, pretending to not understand definitions or to have completely different meanings to words, and they are backed failing terror groups firing unguided rockets or the collapsing state of Iran failing to build the nuke to finish the job for decades

2 semesters ago I had a course about the history of the Jewish people, with a focus on the 18th to the 20th century period. And ever since I took it, I had this weird lingering feeling that I just didn't have anyone to share it with, that when compared to other forms of Jew h*tred, modern day, 21st century Anti Zionism, is just weak and pathetic. What I mean by it is, unless you go at least a few hundred years ago, almost all the forms of Jew h*tred were far more nuanced, and had far more backing behind them, with far clearer goals.

Back in the day, the N*zis had a whole ideology behind it, backed by some pseudoscience, backed by (at times) the strongest army in Europe, and maybe the world. If you were to ask a N*zi in the 40s why he h*tes the Jew, he would have told you exactly why and had a complete discussion about it with you.

Then you got the original version of Anti Zionism in the soviet empire where the h*tred was dressed up in rigid Marxist-Leninist doctrine. If you asked a Soviet propagandist in the 1970s why Zionism was the enemy, they wouldn't just yell a slogan at you; they would hand you a state-published, pseudo-academic textbook on "Zionology."

They had a highly structured narrative that framed Zionism as a reactionary, bourgeois, and imperialist tool of Western capitalism. They managed to recycle age-old antis*mitic tropes—like the idea of a global, shadowy cabal—but cleverly repackaged them as "legitimate" political critique to fit the Cold War chessboard and align with their Arab allies. Their goal was incredibly clear and ruthlessly pragmatic: suppress Jewish national identity and culture within the USSR, stop the Refuseniks from emigrating, and unite the Soviet public against a fabricated external capitalist threat, all without overtly violating their official communist anti-r*cist dogma. It was a massive, state-sponsored intellectual and political machine.

And today?

Today it just feels weak. The followers of the ideology are so scared of being labeled r*cist, and are so obsessed with their own image and virtue signaling, that most of the time when you ask an Anti Zionist what his goals are or what he means, he will usually pretend to not understand what Zionism means. Or worse, when he does admit to understanding it, he will instead feign historical illiteracy, and try to claim that in some convoluted way destroying Israel would not lead to a 2nd H*locaust.

While they had entire armies and a real backbone behind the h*tred back in the day (even in the 60s and 70s they had 7 Arab armies trying to achieve their goals), today all they got is Iranian t*rror groups firing unguided missiles into Israeli cities, 1 successful major attack (Oct 7th) which ended up backfiring and dismantling their network, and the Iranian n*kes which are being destroyed as we speak.

I don't make this post as some criticism, and I would love to hear your opinions if you think that's not the case, but I really think that we have come a long way where for the first time in more than 4000 years Jews can live in relative safety, and their biggest threat are a few t*rror groups and teenagers cheering for them abroad.
