Tried to declare at cruise port - no officer - hustled through
Hi all - I was recently cruising in the Caribbean and disembarked at Port Canaveral. During my trip I purchased two watches (total value $5,800) and the receipt included my name and cabin number (I was told this was because there is some sort of credit the cruise line gets back for “recommending” them though I never went or listened to shopping advice - they were just authorized dealers I wanted to visit). Anyway, the port security was so fast that I was literally pushed and tried to declare but was told to “just keep moving”. Is there any way that retrospectively the receipt somehow gets reported to customs and my GE gets revoked? I fully intended and even tried to declare but the port people saw the green light on the facial recognition and flushed me out. No one stopped me - I was just pushed through like cattle through the gates.
