Short layover in Frankfurt--realistic?

Hi all, Has anyone ever traveled from Italy with a 1hour 20 minute layover in Frankfurt airport? We are traveling from Florence to Philadelphia in July, with a short layover in FRA, on Lufthansa. Not sure if that layover is too tight to be realistic, what with passport control lines in Frankfurt airport. Thanks for any insight.
