I don’t feel part of the gay community.
The "community" that’s gonna reject you if you’re not attractive, rich or successful? No, thanks.
I’ve been gay for almost 24 years so far and I’m unattractive and the amount of negative feedback that I’ve received from apps, in person and more from the "gay community" is too much.
People expect you to be the best version of yourself from the get go and then they might consider talking to you, but if you’re not a model by the time you talk to them, don’t even bother.
Why would I feel like I’m part of the community when all I’ve known is rejection and being made fun of?
And yes, you could argue that I could hit the gym, get better but no. If you don’t want me at my "worst", you don’t deserve me at my best.
I refuse to "get better" to have a boyfriend. Because all of sudden when I’m "attractive" y’all would care about me? Girl bye.
Y’all should see the potential in someone in his "raw form" and glow up TOGETHER, not wait for the perfect prince charming.
Let’s not forget the racism, misogny and dislike of feminate gay guys in the "gay community".
Call it a rant or whatever but I’m sure someone somewhere can I relate to what I feel. Bye!
