Ethernet to Beryl AX in Extender mode

I want to repurpose a beryl ax when not used for travel as a wireless bridge and use the built in ethernet ports to plug in devices that don't have wireless capability.

I was able to connect my beryl ax (192.168.8.0/24) in extender mode to my tmobile 5g router/gateway (192.168.12.0/24). When I connect my laptop to the wirelessly to the beryl, the IP is from the tmobile subnet which is expected and I am able to get to the internet. But when I connect my laptop to the LAN port on the beryl, it gets an IP from the beryl subnet and cannot access the internet. I thought plugging in to the LAN port of the Beryl would work seamlessly and old thread that I’ve seen have said the same. Any ideas on fixing this?
