New weariness system will be the beginning of a new era
Oooopsy, moderators don't like evil word "purge". I can’t wait for this new system to be implemented. In my opinion, it will be as realistic as it gets. Despite the fact that New England is a region with the lowest obesity rates (under 30%), we cannot forget that the United States is a country where obesity affects approximately 40% of the population. Furthermore, in the context of the new 2025 research methods, it turns out that over 60% of the U.S. population meets the new criteria for obesity. The reality is that a significant portion of the U.S. population is unable to carry groceries up the stairs to the 10th floor—let alone fight off hordes of zombies. Of course, one could assume that only the physically fit survived the Cataclysm, but that is a massive stretch. What will the introduction of this new system cause?
Melee combat will be nerfed into oblivion. You will not be able to clean a city or even a small town ever. Forget about killing hundreds of zombies a day. Forget about playing out fantasies straight out of an anime. You will no longer have the opportunity to turn this game into a C-list action movie from the 1980s. No more Marvel shit.
Once the new system is introduced, there will be similar changes regarding firearms. I am sure about that. I am certain the developers will also nerf the shit out of vehicles too. You will miss old times when you had to worry only about fragile tires.
The truth is, this could be the beginning of a new era for CDDA. The game will reach a new, higher level. It will become what it should have been from the very beginning. Without a doubt, there will be a massive decline within the player community. Possible the biggest since 2013. But is that a bad thing? I don't think so. It’s better to prioritize quality over quantity. The community will be significantly smaller, but composed of players who play the game according to the project’s core vision.
I simply can't wait...
