Looking for anyone who has had a similar experience TW: Miscarriage

I’m pretty much in the middle of a miscarriage, but some of the symptoms are making it not yet conclusive. I’m just reaching out to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Date of last period: February 15, but I didn’t ovulate until March 10.

Tested positive: March 20.

The evening of March 31, I began spotting and cramping. It subsided, and I went to work the next day.

At work, I started gushing blood and completely bled through my clothes in a matter of minutes. I went home and was able to get in with my doctor that afternoon. By that point, the bleeding had stopped.

The ultrasound showed nothing in the gestational sac, and there was blood pooled in and around my uterus.

The next day, the doctor called and said my HCG was high at 11,000.

I went in for a follow-up on April 2. The ultrasound showed less blood, and the gestational sac had slightly grown and somewhat changed shape. It either looked like a fetal pole might be forming, or that it was flattening out in preparation to pass.

We did another blood test, and I’m waiting on the HCG results. If they go up, I’ll go in for another ultrasound on Wednesday. If they go down, we’ll discuss next steps for management.

My doctor and I discussed that this is likely a miscarriage, but there is a small chance given that my ovulation timing was a bit off.

I think I’m just looking for anyone who has been in a similar situation and what your experience was.

I realize the odds are stacked against me, but I feel like I can’t give up hope until it’s confirmed.
