First vet trip

So my bun needs his nails cut I’m still very new to understanding everything but I’ve done so much research that I’ve gotten it pretty locked down. However my bun just refuses to let me cut his nails so I made the decision a vet should do it bc his nails have to be trimmed. My question is for car rides how should I make it to where he is less scared and anxious in the car. Two what can I expect from his behavior after the vet, will he mad or ignore me?
