Feeling hopeless finding a morally justifiable job.

This is for sure an emotionally motivated rant, but here we go: I've been unemployed for a while, and I’m starting to feel like I’ll never find a meaningful career because I don't want to be a part of contributing to the evils of capitalism. I hope this is the right place for this, I'm looking some perspectives.

I've read some threads on this topic and the consensus is generally that we have no choice but to endure it since we live in a capitalist system. Besically the best we can do is earn our money in whatever way we can and then use that money in ways that improve the world (like charities), but I feel like this mindset just keeps perpetuating the issue. If everyone accepts that their work lacks morality, how can we expect the world to improve?

I recognize that if I don’t take a job, someone else will. But isn't this exact mindset a major contributor to why things are so bad? The mentality that “someone will always take the job” seems toxic and justifies many careers that contribute to societal harm. It's the same sort of mantra that plagues AI these past few years - any moral (and in this case legal) concern is brushed aside because "if we don't do it, someone else will" and that's just an abhorrent view that WILL make the world a worse place.

Regarding my specific background if that's important, I’m qualified in media, but most job opportunities are in journalism and almost all job listings are for orgs that deal in clickbait and fearmongering (because that's the proven way to run a successful newspaper, obviously). The few reputable options are the most difficult ones to get a job at and often compromise their mission anyway in small ways. My other option is in advertising and among those most are social media positions or PR departments whose whole industry is immoral on its face in how I am expected to "pretty up" the truth or outright manipulate for the sake of my corporate overlord.

My discussion point is this: Is it impossible to maintain my values in today’s job market? Are there others who feel the same struggle and can relate?

I really don't know what to do, I don't really have the means to pursue more education (to look at other fields) so I'm real close to just getting a job at a kindergarten or something because although it is obscenely underpaid and I will be a low income worker my entire life I will at least be doing a job that is genuinely good for the world in protecting and guiding kids.
