County Court Hearing Money Claim - England

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice about what to expect at the county court hearing for a money claim submitted against me. There's a lot of experiences/information about claimants but not defendants.

I'm not a professional, this is a personal claim submitted against me claiming that I owe them money. This is a claim being brought against me by my ex girlfriend essentially after we broke up. It's malicious.

It's not about money being leant - its essentially things paid for throughout the relationship, she now wants repaying for and claims that all along there was a verbal agreement these monies would be repaid, also things that were gifts are now apparently not gifts.

I'm cautious about sharing too much detail in case her or her friends see this.
