How common is it to have varrying dimensions of reality in your dreams? (B&W, 2d, video games etc.)

Hello, I just discovered this sub and I had a dream like that this week so I'm really curious to know if it's a common occurence for other people.

basically, my dreams won't always be normal reality. Very often, it'll be like a video game, where I have to save the game or revert to a previous backup, kinda like the movie Groundhog Day.

That's the kinda dream I had a couple days ago — I had to go back to a previous situation where I was being chased, to be saved for the second time by a nice lady but take a different path this time. And later when I was finally safe and about to teleport again, she was like : "NOO, find a way to do it differently, otherwise I will forget ever meeting you!" I woke up with a very wholesome bittersweet feeling, like when you finish a good book. I genuinely miss this woman right now😭.

other times, my dreams have a restrained color palette. one day I even had one where every "character" had 2-3 assigned color palettes and I could scroll through their palettes and pick my favourite one and their clothes and skin tone would change accordingly.

One day it was in 2d animation, it was probably the weirdest one (I had watched an anime that day.)

Idk if it's related but I also have lucid dreams from time to time.
