CalTrans, maybe tell maps apps before shutting down 101/80 interchange

I genuinely appreciate the work being done to fix our crumbling infrastructure—but can you please give Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze a heads-up when you’re closing major freeways?

Shutting down the 101 and 80 interchange isn’t exactly a minor detail. It’s not a top-secret operation. Had I known, I would’ve taken surface streets and saved a ton of time and frustration.

Feels like this should be the easiest coordination win imaginable.
