Song of the Frogacle as new GM

Context: I've been a player in two Mausritter oneshots and have been a GM for about 1.5 years now, but I've never GM’d Mausritter or another OSR game before.

I'm about to run Song of the Frogacle for my family as a oneshot. They mostly don't have any RPG experience, one has some in a different system. Have picked SotF because I think they'll enjoy the boat race theme a lot, and it doesn't seem very combat heavy. To make it more visual, I've printed out a copy of the river race track and cut it up (descriptions removed) so I can place each section as the players enter it.

Does anyone have advice to keep in mind for this module, particularly as a new Mausritter GM? I'm reading the relevant sections in the rulebook, ignoring stuff like hexes because it won't come up. I'm generally fairly comfortable with improvising at the table.
