Switching From Progressive/Varifocals for PC Gaming Due To Disorientation

I have had Progressive lenses in my glasses since I started wearing them 25 years ago. I am almost 40 now.

Does anyone else have any experience of feeling dizzy/disoriented/strain when playing video games on a pc monitor. The monitor is around 70cm away and is 27 inch. I assume it's because my eyes are looking around the screen and going into the different areas od focus in my progressive lesnes.

Do I make thw switch to a dedicated single vision intermediate distance set of glasses and do you think that would help?

I have an appointment with my optician in a week but would love ot hear if anyone else has had a similar experience.
