Not what this appears and is more of a reflection on cultural mores and how the weight loss meds have permeated so many aspects of culture and business - both pro and con.
Businesses reacting to the different eating patterns of people in terms of kinds of food - how it is being advertised. Restaurants adjusting their menus.
Articles on the etiquette of being on weight loss medications and advice on how to handle social situations.
And now a book that seems to deal with the gestalt of it - Nothing Tastes as Good by Luke Dumas which of course is familiar to most of us as being the classic affirmation for dieters - Nothing Tastes as Good as Thin Feels. I literally can hear Joan Rivers in my mind's ear with one of her jokes about celebrities struggling with weight issues

Worse, people who were cruel to him have started disappearing and when the police warn of a cannibalistic killer on the loose, he fears that Obexity is turning him into a monster. But how can he give it up now that people are finally starting to treat him like he’s human?
I had to pick a flair so I picked Side Effects 🤷🏼♀️🤣 as the most fitting but reading about the book made me really think about how the medications have caused changes that seem on a certain level as significant as when science started having effective medical treatments for emotional/psychological disorders beyond exorcism or equivalent.
