Trying to buy a house

I quit drinking about a month ago. I'm in a good place. Still kinda tired through the day, but it's getting better slowly. I read about post alcohol withdrawls. Apparently if you drink like I did, it can take months to feel normal.

Rent has been skyrockting in my area. I have a good job and good income. I can easily put a down payment on a house. So that's my plan. My parents are letting me stay with them once my lease is up until I can move into what I buy.

They are aware of my drinking problem. My dad had one and quit 20 years ago. He's been cool about me quitting. Seems like its genetic with me. I'll just help out around the house while I'm with them. Spend time with them, etc. My parents are getting older so I'm going to enjoy the time with them.
