A week on - Size Regrets

My tattoo is only a week old. I adore the design and it's everything I wanted. Except now the second skin is off and I'm looking at it more when I'm moisturising, I can't help but already morn it?

it's incredibly detailed with a lot of linework (coiled snake). I just know in my heart it's probably not going to age all that well and I can't help but just feel sad about it.

I wish it was bigger so it could look this good for longer and I'm starting to try to ignore it (itching aside) it's a little over 6 inches long and 3 inches wide. It also looked bigger in my memory when I was placing the stencil

How do I get over this and just embrace it as the sick piece it is?
