Is AI creating a forced "Mandela Effect" to rewrite history?

I’ve noticed that Google’s AI overviews and LLMs are starting to give "confident" but wrong answers about historical events. If the Dead Internet Theory is real, and most content is now AI-generated, we are reaching a point where the "fake" version of a fact will become the only one available.

Are we witnessing a forced Mandela Effect where algorithms decide what we remember? Or is this just the next step in digital misinformation?
