I’m born and raised in Buffalo, NY home to the Buffalo Bisons!!!!

Stadium Facts:

Located right in downtown Buffalo

Home of the Buffalo Bisons (Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays)

Opened in 1988 (originally called Pilot Field)

One of the largest and most historic Minor League stadiums in the U.S.

Why It’s Special

Built during a push to bring MLB back to Buffalo (never happened, but the stadium stayed elite)

Capacity originally over 21,000 (huge for MiLB), now \~16,000+

Has hosted:

Minor League Baseball for decades

The Toronto Blue Jays during 2020–2021 (COVID era)

The Experience

City backdrop: You’ll see downtown buildings beyond the outfield

Great sightlines: Not a bad seat in the park

Affordable fun: Classic minor league vibe—cheap tickets, family-friendly

Food & drink: Solid ballpark food + local options

Fan Favorites

Center field grass berm — chill, relaxed seating

Kids Zone — great if you’ve got little ones

Friday night fireworks 🎆

Close-up access — easier to get autographs than MLB parks

Quick Take

Sahlen Field is honestly one of the best minor league stadiums in the country—big-league feel, but way more laid-back and affordable. If you're into baseball (which you clearly are), it’s a must-visit spot in Buffalo.

Cant Wait to Get to Some Buffalo Bison Games This Summer!!!! Whats your closest Minor League Stadium????
