How to Handle Knockout “Teams”

As a solo racer Dad with limited time, I spend most of my time online in Knockout. If I really “try” I can keep an 8100ish VR incase it becomes a skill issue (which it very well might be), but does anyone have any tips for navigating a racing world where my lobbies are filled with “teams”?

I mean situations where there is a clear bagger/blocker and clear runner. I’ve encountered so many times where a partner will intentionally get ahead and block certain ramps to direct traffic as much as a PC can.

I realize I can’t “do” anything, but does the VR average across both people or can one racer truly be a sacrificial lamb for the other? And if so, why not just average or let the other person sign onto their own account so THEIR VR takes a hit too?

I guess more rant than discussion in the end, but am I alone?
