Thoughts about buying gold as an investment?

I’m no rich person but I aspire to be one someday, I’m in a difficult situation, okay wage for my country, enough to live independently, and in a war zone.

Bank system might collapse again.

Is gold a good investment? Like to invest 80% of my savings in?

Btw I don’t have much savings, it’s barely an extra salary and a half :(
