Dying During Cutscene

So i’m into chapter 5, without any spoilers i’m fighting the boss in the banquet (absolute misery) but i’ve been having a problem that after the cutscene before i get control back the boss goes into his attack animation and im dead before having the chance to heal. has anyone else had this problem?
