Pool Heater Recommendations

Looking for pool Heater Recommendations.

I have a 24ft round 52" (so 14k gallons).

I have electric and natural gas hook-up.

we keep the pool at a constant temp and live in Pittsburgh.

I've run a Pentair Minimax CH150 BTU the last 15 years until it died last fall. I would purchase another one of these in a heartbeat if they still made them. Kind of like working on an old 67 Chevy without all the computer BS.

that being said, I was looking at the Raypak 156A but reading reviews on that gave me nightmares. Leaking heat exchangers after one year, blown fuses repeatedly, etc. And Raypak won't back the warranty if I install it myself.

I also read several reviewers said the heater will only work if they switch their pump to high. I have a 2 speed pump I run on low all season except for vacuuming and don't want to run it on high to get the heater to work.

Anyone have experience with this unit or recommend something else? Jandy doesn't make a 150k and they're pretty expensive. New Pentair and Hayward models seem prone to failures.

Any help would be appreciated.
