What's it going to take to get spam OUT of my inbox?

Emails marked as spam continue to make it into my inbox. I go through hundreds of emails per day for work (editorial) and the fact that half of them are already marked as spam but still in my inbox for some reason is infuriating. I've tried changing a few settings but nothing is working.
