Nux dual loop stereo pedal [ Stopping loop without stopping drums]

I have the Nux dual loop stereo pedal on order but am worrying now that it wont fit in with how I usually use a looper. My usual method is to be playing a song then loop a few chords and play a solo over the top ,then revert to live playing again.

I want to start the song with drums playing, loop my chords, play my solo then pick up playing the song . So I need to be able to turn the loop off without turning the drum pattern off at the same time. In all the videos I've watched they just loop their verse and chorus and play over these until they stop the whole song.
