Will there be more mods for online and offline games in the future?

The game is new on Steam, and I was wondering if it will evolve over time (at least I hope so) and offer multiple gameplay options. Are there any leaks or information about whether it will have a career mode like MLB The Show, where you play as a single player, or other game modes (offline and online)?
