*sigh* I lost the fandom/fanfic author Olympics...heavily

Hopefully no one takes this the wrong way, but I know how this sub can get...

I just wanted to vent because I write a combo of the two most looked down upon and ignored/hated types of fanfic in the world rn- I write RPF femslash and lemme tell ya - the low hit count × no engagement is real and today it's hitting particularly hard.

I write really effin' good stories, but because it's about real women, it will get overlooked. And shat on by other authors and readers. I get it - RPF is creepy, women's relationships are frivolous - but its been my whole personality for years now and I write and give so much. Im a consistent author, I write a myriad of tropes, I do it all. All I can do is wish times change and that Femslash RPF will soon be recognized as the superior brand of fan fiction. And that readers will come flooding in!

Or, I could just write BL and call it a day? I'm sure the world needs more of it anyway.
