My kitten is a menace in our house. How to correct behaviors, or will it just take time?

Advice

Hi all!

Back in November, a friend of a friend was giving up 2 kittens that one of her barn cats had and my family took one in. When we first got her, she had coccidia and roundworm, so for the first month or so she was in quarantine as to not infect my other cat and dog.

For the 3 months that she’s been out of quarantine, she has been an absolute maniac. All day long she darts around the house and flies up onto the furniture, climbs in our plants starts beef with our cat/dog, attacks our feet as we walk, etc. etc.

Our other cat isn’t a big fan of her. We did some scent introduction between the both of them while she was in quarantine and would bring her out for a few minutes at a time when we knew she was clean with no risk of the others coming in contact with her feces, but since she’s been let out of the bathroom, they just beef with each other every day. Never to a point where they’re full on fighting each other, but they chase each other around and my other cat hisses and growls.

Any tips on how we can get her to chill out a bit, or improve the relationship between the 2? Or will that just take time?Literally no cat I’ve ever had has been like this, so I have no clue what I’m doing wrong.

Info: she’s a bobtail, 5-6ish months old, and not spayed (scheduled to be next week).

Thanks!!
