OPT Clarification

Hey guys! I have a couple quick questions, would really appreciate any help:

1. What do they usually check during the biometrics appointment?
2. I didn’t see anywhere on the application to enter my OPT start date—do they just go off the start date listed on the I-20 from my DSO?
