[Product Request] Deodorant irritating my underarms, any gentle options?

Trigger Warning

26M here, I lift most days and I think my underarms are getting irritated from a mix of sweat, frequent showers, and whatever is in my deodorant. The skin is not broken, but it gets stingy and a bit red, especially right after I put deodorant on or after I shower. Not looking for a diagnosis, just trying to make my routine less irritating.

Current routine:

- Shower once daily, sometimes twice if I train late. Warm water.

- Fragrance-free body wash, nothing exfoliating.

- I use a basic lotion on arms and legs but usually skip my underarms.

- Deodorant/antiperspirant daily.

I stopped shaving my underarms for now and that helped a little, but the irritation keeps coming back. I also don't want to go without deodorant since I work in an office and take public transit.

Wondering if people can recommend:

  1. Gentle deodorants or antiperspirants that are less likely to sting sensitive underarms.

  2. Anything simple to apply after showering to calm the area, like a bland moisturizer or barrier product, that won't leave me feeling sticky.

  3. Whether switching to an acid-style deodorant (pH-lowering products) is worth trying for odor control, and how to introduce it without making irritation worse.

I'm happy to simplify my routine and patch test things. Looking for options that have actually worked for people with easily irritated underarms. Thanks.
