Help ! im (16m) a loser high schooler with nowhere else to turn to for relationship advice with my partner (16m) except reddit, gulp ! (Forewarning: I type really messy)
Hi guys, um, I'm not like real active on reddit but um idk i hope someone with a solution to my problem finds this. Anyways, uhhhhhh, i have a dilemma! So I, little baby highschooler (i lied on the title, im actually less than 16! and genderfluid) who just moved right at the start of term 4 of the school year to a new district (same city) also got a partner (guess what? i also lied on the title for them! They're....gender neutral i think? It's a new relationship, give me a break guys im still learning everything about them; oh, also they're in the same grade as me) and we've been dating about...11 days. And so far everythings going okay, they have a pretty busy schedule and aren't online often so it's kind of hard to talk (not to mention im still nervous around them), but other than that, i think it's going pretty well. Nowwww my problem starts with them telling me about their birthday party during our small talk. It was just a small thing they mentioned and i didnt ask more about it the first time they brought it up, second time they brought it up (couple days later), i asked more about it, what they're planning to do for the party, etc. etc.. They haven't invited me yet though...and I know it's so childish don't start booing me but....i don't know, doesn't being their partner mean an automatic free ticket to the party ? Am I not welcome orrr...... but also, i get that i don't really know their friends....but i know them! Butttt also we're still getting to know each other.....I've decided to not outright ask if they want me to come, but, i dont know how to feel in the scenario where they don't ask me....ugh there's so many sides to this i can't form an opinion and need other people to decide for me! The pain! But....I think that's all there is I have to say, fingers crossed i find my answer, ummm bye guys
