Cheapest laptop to run tails reliably?

I recently discovered my new gaming pc doesn’t support tails :/

Im thinking of just getting some used piece of crap laptop off marketplace for like $50. Are there any potential downsides/risks to doing this? Or should I buy new? I’m scared the new laptops also won‘t support tails
