Piercing holes closing

So I got my earlobes pierced 7 months ago. Around the 6 month mark I decided to start changing them out, and going to sleep without them. I wasn’t having issues until two weeks ago when my piercing holes would somehow get smaller overnight, and putting in my hoop piercings became hard, and I would have to use a taper to find the hole. How do I fix this because they were perfectly healed close to a month ago.
