Did Rahul Banerjee had the chance of being the fourth commercial movie hero of Bengal in the era between 2000 and 2012 but producers missed the bus?

As there has been lot of online searching on Rahul Banerjee's films now a days, a song of one of his less known film "Kano Kichu Kotha Bolo na" came on my Youtube Algorithm feed. We all know of "Chirodini..Tumi je Amar" but Rahul and Priyanka worked as a couple in many movies between 2008 and 2012 but got overshadowed by Dev, Jeet and Ankush. Do you think the producers and directors missed the bus here of making another commercial film hero along with the mentioned three?
