UTI after surgery. What to do?

Had bilateral inguinal hernia surgery on Wednesday and now have a UTI and feeling awful. Doctor gave me some antibiotics and said to monitor but I'm super nervous. What changes should I be looking for? Both surgical sites are clear but now I'm worried that they may get infected too. Thanks.
