Shanghai day trip: Suzhou or Whuzen

Hello, im considering either of these 2 for my daytrip from Shanghai. both are picturesque but i feel that Suzhou is more crowded? while Whuzen is farther im okay with that for as long as i can take good photos (planning to stay until night to have a night photo as well)
