Trying to make a chill new save: cozy goals that still feel satisfying

Discuss

I'm starting a fresh save after spending ages on my main file, and I want this one to be my actual wind-down game.

I live on a small farm in rural Oregon, so after doing chores all day I don't want my evening game to feel like another job. The problem is I always slip into min-max mode: rushing Community Center bundles, sprinting to the mines, stressing about perfect crop timing, and then wondering why I feel exhausted.

Any ideas for cozy, low-pressure goals or playstyles that still give a sense of progress but don't force me to optimize every day? Ideally things I can do in short sessions.

A few ideas I already had, but I'd love more or tweaks:

- A small kitchen garden plus a couple of animals, focusing on cooking and giving gifts instead of big profits

- A foraging and fishing year where I only plant a few crops each season

- Take decorating slowly, finishing one area at a time instead of trying to perfect the whole farm at once

Also, if you have any in-game settings or personal rules that help keep things relaxed (like limiting mine days, not checking the TV every morning, etc.), please share. I'm fine with light spoilers, but please spoiler-tag anything late-game just in case. Thanks!
