Chapped lips

I live in a hot and humid place. I used the best lip balms and lip hydrators. Yet, my lips always get dry very quickly.

I'm a guy, so i can't walk around wearing a lip balm or vaseline (makes lips glossy). So what should I do?? I always put on vaseline when I'm at home. but I lick it off as soon as I step outside. and thus my lips get incredibly dry really quickly:)
