Did anyone else grow up during the N64 era and just miss the greatest games?

This subreddit keeps showing on my feed so I figured I might as well get this off my chest.

I never played some of the greatest N64 games simply because I did not know they existed, and I still think about it to this day. Goldeneye, OOT, Majoras mask, Star Fox, Mario64, Smash bros.. I missed all of these during the prime N64 years. 10 year old me would have LOVED Mario64, I used to sit outside peaches castle in Royal Raceway (Mario kart) and wonder what was inside. Being let loose in Hyrule field would have made my head explode.

I know all these games are very much playable today but there’s just something about experiencing them as they were originally back then..

For context these are the games that I did actually manage to get my hands on during that time.

Tbh, I’d have probably missed out on Banjo altogether if there wasn’t the tv advert at the time.

Anyone else miss the best games growing up?
