My son is in so much pain after a botched dental visit 2 days ago – has anyone else dealt with this?

I’m feeling so incredibly guilty and frustrated right now. I took my son to a local dentist two days ago to fix what we thought was a minor issue, but i feel like they just made everything so much worse. Since we got home, he’s been in constant pain and crying, it’s honestly heartbreaking to watch. I’ve had to give him some pain meds just so he can get a little bit of rest, but i know that’s not a long-term fix and i'm worried about the underlying issue. It’s clear the previous dentist didn't handle the procedure correctly, and now my poor boy is dealing with the fallout.

I’m terrified of taking him back to that same office, so i’ve been scouring different threads looking for a place that actually specializes in gentle, high-tech care for kids. I’ve seen quite a few positive comments mentioning a Dr. Payton at Urbn Dental in Houston, and their approach seems much more professional, which is exactly what he needs right now to regain some trust. I just want him to be out of pain and in the hands of someone who actually knows how to work with kids.
