M 38, Trying to figure this all out.

So at 38 years old this is the first time in my life im actually trying to attract and interact with asexual people after spending my whole life dating woman with a normal sexual desire. I've met a lot of really great people on here (and other places) but im really stumped. I know how to flirt and show interest and attraction in regular relationships, but i'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to express that (especially digitally) with aromantic and asexual people. I don't want to cross any boundaries or make people uncomfortable, and i think a romantic relationship without physical intimacy would be just dandy, but if you remove the emotions as well I just don't know how its any different from a friendship or just digital penpals?

Maybe there's some aromantic people on here that could give me an idea of what a stable long term relationship looks like to them or how i can distinguish that i don't just want to be a buddy without making someone feel weird.
