F23 bisexual and finding dating harder not easier

I’ve known i’m bi for years so it’s not confusion about who I’m attracted to, it’s more how it actually works in dating.

With men, I’ve found that telling them I’m bi can lead to being sexualised or not taken seriously. It turns into assumptions that I’m promiscuous or that I want threesomes which just makes me not want to mention it at all. Also I find when I tell them they say that I can kiss woman because it’s not cheating for them but that just downplays my sexuality.

With women, especially lesbians there can be this assumption that bi women aren’t serious or will leave for a man which makes it hard to even try.

Because of this, I end up mostly dating men and letting people assume I’m straight because it’s easier, but that doesn’t feel fully honest either.

I think people assume bisexual women have it easier because we have a “bigger dating pool,” but honestly it feels smaller because of the judgment from both sides.

I guess the advice I’m looking for is how I be open about being bi without it turning into something weird or sexualized and how do i actually find open-minded people to date without feeling like you have to hide part of myself?

Also happy for people to DM me..
