KOTOR 2 on laptop

I’ve just finished playing KOTOR which was great but I did struggle with crashes/graphics issues - mangeable but expected as I play on a laptop. Really excited to start playing KOTOR 2 but wondering if I might run into the same issues or if it’s known to run better? Just want to know if it’s worth my money (purchased through Steam btw)

TLDR; does KOTOR 2 run smoother than KOTOR???
