Games with Rich and Original Lore

Hey there! I'm craving a game with the kind of unique, original lore that I can really sink my teeth into, that gets the gears turning in my head and makes me really examine the hypotheticals of living in an alternate reality. The kind of world that either has a wiki or is sorely deserving of one.

Examples:

• Cult Simulator/Book of Hours
• Dread Delusion
• Fallen London/Sunless Sea/Sunless Skies
• Disco Elysium
• Kenshi
• Fear & Hunger
• Esoteric Ebb (D&D-derivative, yes, but a wholly original take on it)
• Morrowind

However, what I'm not looking for is games derived from existing media, no matter how elaborate. So no Star Wars, Witcher, etc.
