Vehicle crash post L5-S1 fusion

So I was first rear ended on a high way 2024 leading to a L5-S1 fusion last May 2025, started feeling better compared to my pre-surgery pain and discomfort. Fast forward to last Friday in March 2026 while waiting my turn at a stop sign with cars in front of me stopped as well 2 cars decided to rear end me. Lots of new pain not experienced before. Ct scan didn't show any new broken vertebrae and Im waiting for the mri appointment. My surgeon believes its just swelling but the intensity of the tail bone nerve pain and radiating from the L5-S1 fusion and then constant tingles/numbness from groin area, sciatica to my toes has me really stressed out, I dont want to go backwards into pain. Not to mention the constant numbness on my for arms to index fingers in both hands. My question is if anyone had the misfortune of being rear ended and if the pain went away?
