ranking canon digicams based on fragility?

hi everyone, i would like to get a canon sx740 or elph 360 (i know, very basic) for taking pics on night outs and trips but i had a g7x mark ii that broke after only 7 days. i used it for maybe an hour a day and put it in a hard case in my purse. the flash began to spark whenever i took pictures so i took it to a service shop and they said it would be better to just get a new one than repair it, since they would have to completely take it apart to fix and it would take extremely long and cost a lot. because of that, i’m concerned about getting a new digicam, especially the sx740 since the body and mechanisms are more similar to the g7x (flip screen, flash pops out). does anyone have any tips or insight to why the g7x is so fragile and if the sx740 and elph 360 are prone to breaking too? if so, which one is still less likely to break?
