($16-18k) Do mismatched elements matter?
Hi everyone!
Do guests take notice if these elements don't fully match throughout the wedding?
• Fonts
• Metals (gold/silver)
• Woods
• Shades of wedding color
I've been DIYing most of our wedding, and when it came to themes, I really loved so many vibes, I kinda just picked whatever I liked from each of my reference photos and ran with it, but now I'm worried people are going to be bothered by things being different throughout the wedding. One saving factor is that each area of our wedding (broken down below) has a consistent font, etc. We've been really intentional with who we invite, so it really does feel they would be there to celebrate our marriage over the aesthetics, but there's a lingering fear guests will think it's ugly and not cohesive 😅
Breakdown of the elements:
Fonts - we have one serif-like font we're using for the guestbook table (outside reception area), a different serif-like font on the table numbers and table cards, and a cute cursive font for our throw petals and flower bar. Have not decided on a font for the ceremony program
Metals - the mirror I am using for our welcome sign has a gold frame (bought years ago) but our cutlery is silver (looks better with our spring color theme). The mirror will be outside the reception area with the guest book
Woods - all are darker woods, but kinda different shades - the table number holders turned out more cherry than I'd hoped. The photo frames on the guest book table are more walnut.
Shades of wedding color - we have a light blue theme throughout, but honestly there are so many shades of light blue I have no idea if my bridesmaids dresses will be the same blue as the napkins we're renting or if the napkins will at least match the stationery or cocktail napkins I ordered.
Will guests really care about all of this? Thanks in advance!
